
The ‘Raymond Ackerman Academy’ in collaboration with the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women Initiative offers an opportunity to young entrepreneurs interested in fosteringskills required to further develop in the business world. The programme runs for 6months from the 12th of January to June 2011. The programme is subsidized, you only have to pay a commitment fee of R1 400.
The purpose of the Academy is to empower young people on their entrepreneurial journey while developing their business and life skills. The Academy blends life orientation skills with business savvy and inculcates crucial values such as accountability, integrityand tenacity. Admission requirements
• Young people, preferably women between the ages of 18 and 30, from disadvantaged backgrounds. • Students must demonstrate an interest in entrepreneurship and starting their own business. • We also look for students who for social, academic or financial reasons would not normally be able to further their studies. • Matric is a prerequisite although an exemption is not necessary • Preference will be given to South Africa Citizens Contact
