She also moved into a consulting role, focusing on teaching, project managing and offering mentorship into the industry. Jo-Anne says, “Landscape design is more than just a job, it’s my passion.”
Over the course of her career, she has had to juggle work and motherhood, and is quietly proud of her 2 sons who have grown-up into engaging young men who know what they want in life. “My mom has always put 100% into her career and I really admire everything she has achieved, she is my role model,” says her son Timothy who is currently majoring in Psychology at the University of KZN.

She has enjoyed many successful years offering professional advice on landscaping and landscape design to residential & corporate clients throughout South Africa and internationally. She is currently doing extensive training in Mauritius and has recently returned from consulting in Nigeria.
Jo-Anne believes that the only limit to your success is the limits of your imagination. She believes hard work has got her where she is today, “If you can marry passion with skill and professionalism, you’ve got a winning combination".
